Product Description

Bile extract are steroid acids found predominantly in the bile of mammals and other vertebrates. Diverse bile acids are synthesized in the liver. Bile acids are conjugate wit taurine or glycine residues to give anions called bile salts. Bile extract comprise about 80% of the organic compounds in bile. They serve as micelle-forming surfactants, which encapsulate nutrients, facilitating their absorption. These micelles are suspended in the chyme before further processing. Bile extract also have hormonal actions throughout the body, particulary through the farnesoid. General Information of Bile Extract

It is mainly used to add flavor. Bile salt constitutes pure substances, sodium conjugates of glycot aurocholate, and those are used as selective agents mainly to inhibit gram-positive organisms, non-intestinal organisms and spore formers while permitting the growth of gram-negative enterics. Bile inhibits Enterococcus and Staphylococcus species.
